Alpine Nurseries Plans for Future Growth
Alpine Nurseries hits the ground running in 2019 with a continued focus on excellence in customer service.
Customer service is always a key objective at Alpine Nurseries. General Manager, Ken Bevan reflects,
“I am proud of our Sales teams and our customer first focus that proliferates through all facets of the business.”
“We have a well-established sales model which is constantly evolving as the business grows; splitting our main Sales team into two smaller groups. The promotion of Julie Jarman and Dan Knox to two newly formed Sales Manager roles is an important step in this process. I am also thrilled to have Laura Featherston, one of our long standing, senior sales executives move to our Commercial team.”
Appointment of Julie Jarman, Sales Manager – Customer Service
Julie Jarman has been promoted to Sales Manager – Customer Service. Julie has worked at Alpine Nurseries for over 15 years. She is a highly regarded horticulturist and posseses exceptional customer service skills, honed over her long career in the horticultural industry.
Julie was appointed Assistant Trademart Manager in 2016 based on her natural leadership qualities, in particular, her ability to develop people and her willingness to support her fellow team mates. In her new role, Julie will utilise those skills focusing on training and developing newer members of the Sales room group. Her team deals with all general sales enquiries, quotes and orders via phone, email and the Alpine Online channel.
Julie knows what exceptional customer service looks like and is really looking forward to working with an already committed and engaged team.
Dan Knox appointed as Sales Manager – Accounts
Dan Knox has been working at Alpine for the past 15 years. Dan has a wealth of experience on all levels, including helping initially set up of our Alstonville site and nursery. Dan has worked as an order/picker at Dural, gaining in-depth understanding of inventory, picking and dispatch processes, before moving into Sales over the last 10 years.
Dan took a short sabbatical with one of our landscape clients, gaining a client perspective on landscape business before returning to Sales. Dan is the Sales Manager of the Accounts team, comprised of account executives.
Dan will be working with his team to develop deeper relationships with our Account customers. “Our aim is to form partnerships with our clients and play a supporting role to their business,” says Dan.
Laura Featherston joins the Commercial Sales team
The Commercial Sales team warmly welcomes Laura Featherston as a highly regarded, senior member of their team. Laura started her career at Alpine Nurseries some 25 years ago, and returned in 2012 after pursuing a number of varied roles in the horticulture industry. In 2017, she became the Acting Sales Manager at Alpine Nurseries for 18 months while continuing to service her own portfolio of clients.
“I really admire Laura’s resolve, particularly helping effect a smooth transition of Alpine from the Knox to the Green family. She has been a great support to me and her team, I know she will make a great contribution to the Commercial group.”
Laura is thrilled to join the Commercial team. She adds, “I’m really looking forward to stepping across into a team that aligns closely with my passions for working with council customers who I will continue to look after. I’m also looking forward to taking on other commercial accounts and the project management involved. I enjoy contributing to a great outcome in successfully greening public spaces.”
