Euonymus japonicus 'Aureomarginatus'
Golden Euonymus
Description
A hardy, medium to large, upright, evergreen shrub. Leathery, oval shaped leaves are green with bright yellow margins and the inconspicuous, yellow, vinegar-scented flowers appear in late Spring and Summer. Prefers and performs best in fertile, well drained soil but tolerates a wide range of soils, ranging from sandy to clayey. Water regularly, neither over watering or allowing to dry out. Tolerates light frosts, pollution and salt winds. Good as background and feature specimens in garden beds, or as a clipped hedge/border. Full sun gives best colour but part shade is tolerated. Prune in Spring/Summer to encourage new growth. Cut out any non-variegated foliage as it appears.
